Beautiful and durable name plates, signs, plaques and house numbers, made in slate from our own quarries high in the Lake District hills.

Each name plate and number plate is cut, shaped, honed on the face to a smooth egg shell finish, engraved, drilled and then painted by hand in one of our green or black slates, which are over four hundred million years old. You can choose to have borders, different font sizes, edges left straight or chiselled into a rustic shape, and the engraving painted in either white, gold or grey. Each slate house sign is specially sealed to enhance the natural beauty of the material, to provide protection against the elements and to make occasional cleaning quick and simple.

Every aspect of your order will be handled in-house, from quarrying through to fabrication, age old skills and traditions passed down generations will be employed to guarantee your slate sign is unique and direct from the source.
