At Kirkstone we quarry, manufacture and supply our own unique volcanic
slate which comes in three colours - Kirkstone Sea Green, Kirkstone
Silver Green and Brathay Blue Black - and a choice of finishes. Formed
over 450 million years ago from deposits of volcanic ash, Kirkstone
slate is regarded throughout the world as a superior stone product.
Stone manufacture has been our core business since 1949 and our knowledge and experience of stone has enabled us to select the best alternative stone materials from around the world. Our range extends right across the stone family - limestones, slates and granites. In addition, unusual stone accessories in the shape of basins, shower trays and classic mosaics add interest to the range. As decorative features they work extremely well with many of the stones in the collection, creating opportunities for designing unique interiors. Many of the architectural stones available can be used both internally and externally for commercial use as well as residential applications. Our aim is to provide high quality, durable and decorative finishes in the form of paving, flooring, treads and risers, cladding, work surfaces of all kinds and architectural details. Kirkstone products have been used worldwide on projects ranging from heavy commercial use, such as banking halls, airport terminals, receptions and shopping centres, through to residential projects such as kitchens, bathrooms and swimming pools. |
